Our Approach
Our coastal setting on Vancouver Island is renowned for its Garry oak and Douglas fir ecosystems. At LANDECA we celebrate our environment by landscaping with the native species that form the bases of these ecosystems. Whether the restoration of a natural landscape, the creation of a native plant garden, or the inspired integration of indigenous species into our designs, we utilize native plants to benefit both our clients and our shared natural environment.
Not only are native plants attractive, but they also require lower maintenance in our climatic conditions, and they provide habitat for beneficial insects, butterflies, birds, and more. LANDECA’s landscape team has in-depth knowledge of local species and welcomes projects that focus on their use.
